Fruqan Mouzon

Fruqan Mouzon has extensive legal experience in both the public and private sectors. His most recent public sector experience involved service as an Assistant Counsel to New Jersey Governor Jon S. Corzine. In that post, Mr. Mouzon reviewed and advised the Governor on legislation involving consumer affairs, education and civil rights, in addition to serving as the Governor’s designee on the State House Commission and as Project Manager for the State’s search for a Newark Public School Superintendent.

As a private attorney, Mr. Mouzon has been an avid and capable litigator, having participated on all levels of trial practice -- from discovery, depositions and motion practice to presenting evidence and argument to a federal jury. In addition, Mr. Mouzon has significant state and federal appellate experience. He has argued a case of first impression before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and a seminal case before the New Jersey Supreme Court, which addressed the constitutionality of a state statute. Both cases yielded oft-cited published opinions.
