Paul M. Hauge
Paul M. Hauge represents clients in administrative and judicial proceedings brought under federal and state environmental statutes and common law, including New Jersey Spill Act directives, EPA investigations, brownfield disputes, Spill Act and CERCLA/Superfund cost recovery and contribution actions, natural resource damage suits, and toxic tort litigation. He has handled matters involving landfills, other disposal sites, and industrial facilities in New Jersey, New York, and Delaware. He also teaches Environmental Law, and has taught a seminar on the Clean Water Act, as an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University School of Law. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Hauge spent nearly ten years as an environmental scientist and environmental policy specialist, for an environmental consulting firm, a private non-profit environmental organization, and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), where he managed and conducted research on coastal pollution and resource contamination, performed risk assessments, and provided technical support for natural resource damage claims related to several large oil spills. He has authored numerous articles and reports on both scientific and legal aspects of environmental issues.Education
