Madeline M. Sherry

Madeline M. Sherry focuses her practice in the areas of products liability and employment litigation. Ms. Sherry began her career in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office where she tried many cases. She also has extensive jury trial experience, trying cases solely, or as lead counsel, to verdict.

Ms. Sherry has defended corporations in state and federal courts involving product liability matters in individual and mass tort settings, including pharmaceutical products, medical devices, industrial and construction equipment, juvenile products, and consumer goods. Ms. Sherry has served on a national trial team for a leading global medical products company and has also served as local counsel in a number of mass tort matters, including one for a major healthcare company.

Ms. Sherry has defended matters under state and federal employment laws, including claims for sexual harassment, race, age, sex and disability discrimination in federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations and in agency proceedings. She has defended claims involving restrictive covenants, breach of employment covenants, whistle blower actions, trade secret matters and claims brought under the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law. She has represented individual officers, directors and employees in wrongful discharge, discrimination and contract claims. Ms. Sherry counsels clients in the development of company policies and procedures, contracts and handbooks and in hiring and termination decisions.

Ms. Sherry is a frequent author and lecturer on a variety of topics, and has spoken before the Defense Research Institute, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and Philadelphia Bar Association.
