Jason R. Tuvel

Jason Tuvel's practice is concentrated in development, zoning, land use planning (and related governmental permitting issues), redevelopment and real estate litigation. Mr. Tuvel has represented clients on land development, site plan and variance applications throughout New Jersey and New York. In New Jersey, Mr. Tuvel has appeared before planning boards and boards of adjustment in connection with retail, restaurant, industrial and warehouse projects. In New York, Mr. Tuvel practices throughout Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties), Westchester County, and the Lower Hudson Valley before Boards of Appeals, Planning Boards and Town Boards. Mr. Tuvel works with clients and design professionals in NJ and NY in developing application strategies and coordinating the presentation of expert testimony.  Mr. Tuvel has served as a board attorney, and has researched and briefed a wide range of zoning, planning and municipal law issues.

In addition, Mr. Tuvel has conducted extensive land use/permitting due diligence investigations for multiple-site property acquisitions to assist clients in determining the risks associated with acquiring real property in NJ and NY. He has drafted deeds, easements, developer agreements, and has researched and advised clients in connection with contract and lease compliance issues relating to land use, zoning and other governmental permitting issues.

As a former law clerk in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division-General Equity, Mr. Tuvel has a considerable amount of litigation experience. Mr. Tuvel has represented clients in zoning, land use, real estate, title insurance and redevelopment litigation matters and prerogative writ actions before trial courts, the Appellate Division and the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Mr. Tuvel has also developed a practice of representing both commercial landlords and tenants in eviction, summary dispossess, security deposit and collection matters throughout New Jersey.
