On Thursday, April 3, DELVACCA will host the 6th Annual In-House Counsel Conference at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel. This conference is tailored to the needs of the in-house bar with 24 program choices on topics such as, ethics and compliance, employment and labor, litigation and corporate and securities.

A lawyer’s use of social media, wireless communication and other technology is more prevalent than ever. The impact of these new technologies, however, places a strain on traditional ethical boundaries and ultimately increases risk for counsel.

John C. Romeo, a Director in the Gibbons Employment & Labor Law Group, Kevin G. Walsh, a Director in the Gibbons Business & Commercial Litigation Group, and Diane Carman, 1st Vice President of DELVACCA, will serve as speakers on the panel, “Contemporary Ethical Issues in Social Media and the Wireless World.” This program will discuss practical issues and associated risks that may arise for in-house counsel in the social media world, including the ethical issues posed by blogging and other forms of social media, preserving confidentiality, and e-discovery responsibilities and sanctions.
