Gibbons P.C. Welcomes Seven New Associates

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that seven talented new associates have joined the firm, bringing diverse talent and experience that further enhances the service that Gibbons delivers to clients.

The new associates includes a recent clerk for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, and three for the United States District Courts. In addition, two of the new associates have previously worked at Gibbons, including a former Apprentice in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department and a former Public Policy Specialist in the firm’s Trenton office.

“The varied backgrounds and skill sets of these attorneys will serve our clients well,” says Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons. “We are delighted to welcome them to the firm.”

The new associates, along with overviews of their practices, are listed below.

Patricia A. Clark Ph.D., Intellectual Property
Dr. Clark was most recently an associate at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox PLLC in Washington, DC. She earned her Doctorate in Molecular and Integrative Physiology/Biomedical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Cornell University, before earning her JD from the Maurice A. Dean School of Law at Hofstra University. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia.

Michael D. DeLoreto, Government Affairs
Mr. DeLoreto had previously worked in the firm’s Trenton office as a Public Policy Specialist from 2012-2014. Prior to rejoining Gibbons, Mr. DeLoreto served as a law clerk to the Honorable Douglas M. Fasciale, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. He is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Avram D. Frey, John J. Gibbons Fellowship in Public Interest & Constitutional Law
Mr. Frey most recently served as a Fellow and Supervising Attorney at the Reproductive Justice Clinic at New York University School of Law, advocating on behalf of the civil rights of pregnant women. He was previously an attorney at the State Post-Conviction Defender’s Office in Tennessee, where he represented capital defendants in trial and appellate stages of post-conviction. He is admitted to practice in New York and Tennessee.

Joshua S. Levy, Business & Commercial Litigation
Mr. Levy most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Michael H. Dolinger in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He also clerked for the Honorable Patty Shwartz in the United States District Court of the District of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Ankit D. Patel, Intellectual Property
Before becoming an associate at Gibbons, Mr. Patel served as an Apprentice in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Illinois, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Michael Poreda, Employment & Labor Law
Mr. Poreda served as a law clerk to the Honorable William J. Martini, U.S.D.J., United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.

Timothy D. Tremba, Employment & Labor Law
Mr. Tremba most recently served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph L. Yannotti, Presiding Judge of the Appellate Division, New Jersey Superior Court. He also previously served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Susan D. Wigenton in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.

Since eliminating the firm’s Summer Associate Program in 2003, Gibbons has focused on hiring new associates who have completed a judicial clerkship. These attorneys provide first-hand insight into the preferences and practices of federal and state judges, in addition to a well-developed knowledge of the inner workings of the courts, adding value for the firm’s clients.
