Gibbons P.C. Welcomes 2016 Fall Associate Class

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that nine new associates have joined the firm, bringing diverse talent and experience that further enhances the service that Gibbons delivers to clients. Their practices span five of the firm’s legal departments, as well as the Gibbons Fellowship, and two of the firm’s offices.

Consistent with the firm’s commitment to hiring the most promising new attorneys with the most relevant prior experience, each associate has recently completed a judicial clerkship, with some having completed more than one. The new class includes five recent federal clerks for the United States District Courts; eight former New Jersey Superior Court clerks; and one fall associate who recently served as a law clerk in the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

The new associates, along with overviews of their practices, are listed below.

Liana R. Abreu, Business & Commercial Litigation Department (Newark)
Ms. Abreu completed a clerkship for the Honorable Marie P. Simonelli, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.S., magna cum laude, from Rutgers University. She is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York.

Anne M. Collart, Criminal Defense Department (Newark)
Ms. Collart most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Katharine S. Hayden, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She also clerked for the Honorable Anne M. Patterson in the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Ms. Collart earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and was the salutatorian of her class. She earned her B.A., cum laude, from Marquette University. She is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Lauren B. Cooper, Business & Commercial Litigation Department (Newark)
Ms. Cooper most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Peter G. Sheridan, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She also clerked for the Honorable Lisa Rose in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Civil Part. Ms. Cooper earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from The George Washington University. She is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York.

Jacob J. Franchino, Real Property & Environmental Department (Newark)
Mr. Franchino completed a clerkship for the Honorable Thomas Moore, Superior Court of New Jersey. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Rutgers University. He is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.

Christine A. Gaddis, Intellectual Property Department (Newark)
Ms. Gaddis most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Ann Marie Donio, U.S. Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She also clerked for the Honorable Clarkson S. Fisher, Jr., Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law, her M.S. from Villanova University, and her B.S., cum laude, from Villanova University. She is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York.

Thomas B. Jones, Business & Commercial Litigation Department (Newark)
Mr. Jones completed a clerkship for the Honorable Jose L. Fuentes, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law – Newark and his B.A. from the University of Hawaii. He is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.

Megan E. Lagreca, Business & Commercial Litigation Department (Philadelphia)
Ms. Lagreca most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Mary L. Cooper, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She also clerked for the Honorable Steven J. Polansky, Superior Court of New Jersey. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law and her B.A. and B.S., summa cum laude, from Providence College. She is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

David J. Marella, Corporate Department (Newark)
Mr. Marella completed a clerkship for the Honorable Paul Innes, Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, General Equity Part. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from Rutgers University. Mr. Marella is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.

J. David Pollock, John J. Gibbons Fellowship in Public Interest & Constitutional Law (Newark)
Mr. Pollock most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Deborah A. Batts, U.S. District Judge, Southern District of New York. He also clerked for the Honorable James Orenstein, U.S. Magistrate Judge, Eastern District of New York, and the Honorable Stuart Peim, New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, Criminal Part. Mr. Pollock earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law and his B.A. from Brown University. He is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York.
