Gibbons P.C., a 200+-attorney law firm headquartered in Newark, was one of five companies honored for its “Impactful Good Works” at the Chairman’s Reception hosted by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) on March 6, 2014 at the Stony Brook Inn in Hackensack, NJ. These awards were created to showcase companies’ dedication to the well being of local communities.

Gibbons was recognized for its dedicated community outreach program – Gibbons Cares – through which the firm donates more than $1 million annually, as well as extensive pro bono service, in support of those communities in which it has offices. The firm also supports the John J. Gibbons Fellowship in Public Interest & Constitution Law, through which firm attorneys handle, on a pro bono basis, matters of cutting-edge legal importance and broad significance.

“We are very proud to continue to earn recognition for our Gibbons Cares program,” says Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons. “The firm and its employees are dedicated to serving the community with our time and talents. Gibbons has been involved in such work since its inception and it is part of our culture to be ‘doing good while doing well.’”

The reception celebrated 33 honorees whose efforts were recognized in one of five categories Impactful Good Works, Impressive Good Works, Innovative Good Works, Incredible Good Works and Inspirational Good Works. The firm and the other honorees were recognized in the March issue of COMMERCE Magazine.
