Maintaining the security of personal and confidential information must be an integral part of daily operations for every business and every industry. This program will provide an overview of the various regulatory requirements relating to data security, the essential components of an effective data security plan to protect a company’s valuable information, and a separate incident response plan for a security event resulting in the disclosure of confidential information to an unauthorized party. In addition, a review will be provided of recent developments in the law regarding potential liability for data breaches.
